| Andalucia is home to some of the most beautiful mountainous countryside in the whole of Europe. Cortes De La Frontera is located between the Alcornocales natural park and Sierra de Grazalema natural park in overlooking the sweeping Guadiaro valley below, with the spectacular backdrop of the Serranía de Ronda mountains.
We have carefully compiled an exciting range of outdoor activities with our partners, to make your visit to Los Almendros both exciting and inspiring. All of the specialist activities such as climbing, caving and canyoning are overseen by experts and wetsuits and all other safety equipment is provided.
Cultural and nature trekking is offered, and the routes take us through the valleys of the Guadiaro and into the Grazalema Natural Park. Here we see Arab Towers and dense forests , and can climb the route to the flat mountain top of “Los Pinos” for amazing views of Gibraltar and Morroco beyond.
Canyoning is available in three different locations, with the opportunity to abseil and swim these beautiful mountain rivers. Including “Las Buitreras”, which is know as “the cathedral of the Andalucian canyons”, because of its very high walls of polished stone.
Caving is in Igualeja, a small village surrounded by one of the most beautiful areas in this region, Sierra de las Nieves. This Cave system is known as the “Eccentric Cave” and is full of amazing structures.
Beginners Climbing is also available, with full supervision, as well as river Kayaking downstream from Jimera train station visiting the shore of the river lined with eucalyptus trees. |
